Campground News
We've been hopping at the campground lately, and rightly we should - our first guests will start showing up Tuesday of next week! Granted, paying guests won't be here for another week after that, but still...
The concrete finisher will be there tomorrow or Wednesday to start on the driveway. I hope the plumber finishes up before he starts. I'd hate to have his nice, new Ford F150 stuck in my driveway. It would be such a shame to waste a nice truck, regardless of who it belongs to.
Yes, I'm more than a little irritated with the plumber. Two weeks ago, he promised me he'd be done by that Friday. Last week, he said "This Friday or Saturday". Thursday, he said "We'll be done tomorrow". There were some gaskets that we needed yet, and Jack drove over an hour one way to Knoxville on Thursday to pick them up. We could have ordered them online and had them by today and paid much less for them, but we thought the plumber would need them first thing Friday morning, so we did what we had to do. Unfortunately, we haven't seen him since Thursday afternoon. Grrrrr.....
Heard from the child
I heard from Danny the other day. My phone rand with a fanfare ringtone, specially assigned to his calls. They need fanfare - they happen so rarely. Anyway, he was excited - he'd just bought a newer car, with his own money. He's found a great deal on a 2002 Ford Focus. I'm so proud of him for being able to save up the money to buy it. My little boy is growing up. *Sniff* *Sniff*
Sudoku
Sudoku is evil. What is it about a grid full of numbers that can become so personal? I just started playing it recently and am still pretty slow. I found a website that you can play game after game after game. I also have a handheld Sudoku game (thanks Jack!). I can sit and play it for hours if I'm not careful, trying to beat my last time, knowing that I can do it faster than that, and I'll prove it... Yup, sudoku is evil.
Blessings & Prayers
Have you ever stopped to think what a blessing it is to have dishes to wash? No, really, think about it. If you have dirty dishes that need washed, it means you've had food to eat. Same thing for housework, laundry, paying bills. If you've got those things to do, then you've got a house, you've got clothing to wear, and you've got the money to pay your bills. On top of that, if you're doing it yourself, then you've got the health to do it. I still don't enjoy doing any of that stuff, but I'm thankful that I can.
Please pray for the students, victims, and families of the Virginia Tech killing spree. Pray for the family of the perpetrator, too.
