Wow, it's hard to believe that Christmas is over so fast. Just a *blink*, and then it was gone, poof.... it was wonderful! This season is so full of blessings.
- We got to watch Dad walk.
- We were blessed to share an evening with a wonderful red-headed baby who has learned who "Papaw" and "Mamaw" are.
- Jack and I spent some time with my son, helping him figure out the path his life will take in the future.
- Jack's daughter and her husband may be on the verge of buying a house. It's two houses down from us, away from the road, and a prime location to raise kids.
- My mother's aunt, who we were told had an inoperable heart condition this summer and given a slight chance to live, was at the family Christmas in West Virginia after going to the Cleveland Clinic for surgery.
- The wonderful red-headed baby melted my heart when she opened her afghan and kitty that I'd made for her and proceded to love on the kitty and play peekaboo with the afghan. She gave us a plaque that says "Caution Grandparents at Play". I think describes this particular set of grandparents to a "T", and it will be hung on the door soon.
- We were able to gift both of our mothers with family trees that made them speechless. Well, for a little while, anyway.
- Jack was home for Christmas this year. That doesn't happen often with his job - he usually ends up working to cover for somebody's vacation.
